I would recommend spending the money to buy a good computer set up, a desk, and a whiteboard (dry erase board) for your office.
Another mistake that many work at home entrepreneurs make is that they don't manage their time wisely. "Time management" is such a cliche buzzphrase today, but it truly is important if you want to make your business a success. Make sure that you're eliminating distractions and focusing on work only when you're in your home office.
Lastly, don't be afraid to seek out a mentor. As entrepreneurs, we're born with an independent attitude. However mentorship from someone who has already become successful in the business you're starting up can be extremely valuable. Don't overlook this.
